Scandia 40K BTU Gas Sauna Heater – Natural Gas or LP

The Scandia 40K BTU gas sauna heater is a floor-mounted, gas-fired heater for traditional residential and commercial saunas. Its stainless steel body and solid rock tray hold a full load of sauna stones, and because it burns gas it does not use the replaceable heating elements found in electric heaters. This listing covers every fuel, ignition and vent configuration Scandia offers for the 40K model.

Choose your configuration

• Fuel Type: Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP). Choose the fuel that is supplied at the install location.
• Ignition Type: Standing Pilot, where the pilot flame stays lit, or Piezo spark ignition.
• Vent Direction: Horizontal or Vertical, to match your flue route. Vertical venting uses Scandia's draft hood kit (4" diameter for the 40K, sold separately) plus B-vent pipe from a third-party supplier.

The Natural Gas with Piezo ignition version is offered with horizontal venting.

This 40K heater is rated for rooms up to 616 cubic feet. Measure your room as length × width × height in feet, and allow extra margin for glass or exterior walls.
